The Jenkins family feature again

Our picture shows Sion, Stefan, Clive and Megan
We recently mentioned the interesting fact that the Jenkins’ family at Cresselly are heavily involved in the club’s cricket teams to such a degree that in a recent fourth division match they had dad Clive, daughter Megan and sons Stefan and Sion all included in the same side.
Well, it seems the intrepid quartet have been at it again, this time in a home match against their counterparts from Whitland, where they scored a massive 205 all out and then restricted the opposition to 131 all out.
Leading the way in the batting stakes was Stefan, with a boundary-laden 102, the first century of a career spent at Cresselly, mainly in the first team, supported by brother Sion with an excellent score of 64.
Poor old Clive just misses out
Clive had scored 34 not out recently and arrived at the crease when Stefan was on 95 but sadly he got run out without scoring so missed out on the chance of sharing his son’s joy at the crease.
Stefan, who is known to all as ‘Boxer’ also bowled well for his final figures of 3 for 37 and Megan, who skippers the team, played her part in a win which brought a maximum of 30 points by taking 2 for 26.
It nicely rounded off a cracking day for the Jenkins’ family and I bet mum Mary, who has played for the club’s ladies’ team once this season, was quietly pleased for her cricketing quartet!
