Narberth are under 13 cricket champs!
Narberth are the newly-crowned champions of local cricket at under 13 level after they beat Hook in the final played at Cresselly in quite glorious conditions on a pitch beautifully prepared by Glyn Cole and Denis Chiffi.
Narberth batted first and after a steady start scored 107 for only two wickets in their 20 overs, as skipper Kyle Williams (33) and Ollie Wheeler (30) were the main run-getters.
In reply two wickets in the first over by Lewis Hough reduced Hook to 43 in their 20 overs,
with Nathan Coaker taking five wickets, including a hat-trick to finish off the Hook innings.
Cresselly Cricket Club were thanked for hosting the match, which was played in front of a large crowd.
Umpires: Robert Ridge and Phil Marsden.
The trophies were presented by Mr Colin John, Senior Partner at Llewelyn Davies, who sponsored the Junior Leagues this season.
