Pembroke get off to a winning start
Haverfordwest 2nds (98 all out) lost to Pembroke (155 for 4)
Umpires: Les Hastings and Glyn Pawlett
Scorer: Ros Phillips (Haverfordwest)
Pembroke made a good start at The Racecourse after being put in to bat by Haverfordwest 2nds, scoring 154 for 4 and then bowling really well to shoot out The Town 2nds for only 98 runs.
Paul White (54, including six fours) and Barry Evans ( five boundaries in his 43) grafted out a good second-wicket stand of 93 and a late 25 not out in only 20 balls by Phil Hay took Pembroke to a useful score against Chris Phillips (1 for 22), Kieran Griffiths (1 for 22), Ashley James (1 for 27) and Dan Cole (1 for 22).
David Haynes opened The Town innings with 31 but only skipper Richard Scriven (18) and Josh Hick (12) batted sensibly for The Town against Jonathan Rogers (4 for 23), Ceri Brace (3 for 36), James Skeels (2 for 24) and Sean Powell (1 for 12) as they were shot out 58 runs short of their target.

A splendid undefeated century from long-serving batsman Paul Mansbridge helped Saundersfoot gain a comprehensive win over a struggling Burton side.
Mansbridge stroked 11 fours and two sixes in his undefeated 113 as he shared a sta
nd of almost 180 with Dai Davies (11 fours in his 81) and Simon Wood also contributed a classy 34 runs to the huge total.
Robbie Neill (22), Steve Jones (20 and Toby Hayman (18) were the best Burton batsmen but Richard Cope (2 for 29), Simon Wood (2 for 12), Dai Davies (3 for 24) and James Caine (3 for 24) bowled well for Saundersfoot as they picked up maximum points for an excellent all-round display.

Rain affects the outcome
Carew 2nds (120 for 5) v Johnston (match abandoned)
Umpire: Rob Bellerby
Scorers: Mark Hicks and Delyth Summons
James Hinchliffe was the mainstay of the Carew 2nds batting with a stylish 36 alongside Haydn Shapcott (27) and Lewis Cole (25) as Carew reached 120 for 5 in 34.5 overs against Simon Williams (2 for 4)
and
Gary James (2 for 10).
But then the rain swept in again and umpire Rob Bellerby had no option but to abandon the game.
James Hinchliffe hits big for Carew 2nds.
Damp end to promising start
Whitland 2nds (168 for 5) v Lamphey (Match abandoned)
Umpires: Mervyn John and Ben Cole
Scorers: Anne-Marie Jenkins and Helen Hodges
Veteran opening bat Paul Webb had three boundaries in his gritty 64 as he shared a stand of 125 with Kevin Pearce (who had seven fours in his 71). Jason Oatley (3 for 47), Hywel Gibbs (1 for 37) and Grant Cole (1 for 12) were the Lamphey wicket-takers but although Whitland managed to complete their 45 overs the rain stopped Lamphey from making a start in their innings.
Rain prevents Neal's ton asperations
Cresselly 2nds (187 for 3) v Stackpole (Match abandoned)
Umpires: Huw Davies and Tony Waldeis
Scorers: Des Brace and Mrs Cox
The rain spoilt Neal Williams’ chance of making a century on the first day of the season as the Cresselly 2nds opening bat stood on 97 not out as play ended with 13 balls to spare in the innings. Williams had 14 fours and a six) as he batted alongside talented youngsters Alex Bailey (five fours in his 48) and Iwan Izzard (29).
There was a wicket apiece for Stackpole’s Richard MacKay, Chris Gibbs and John
Williams but the weather was too bad to continue and so Stackpole were unable to try and give chase of what would have been a challenging target.
