Pembrokeshire Vikings beat The Warriors at Parc y Scarlets

Rugby News:

The Pembrokeshire Vikings recently played their latest game at the Scarlets’ training pitch and won 19-15 against the Llanelli Warriors, in a match where the competitive nature of play was matched by strong camaraderie and good sportsmanship.

The Vikings’ scorers were Shaun Treadwell, Sean Phillips and the veteran Gethin Bateman, whose try was a 70-metre interception sprint for the line that left him exhausted but elated.

In addition,  Sean Phillips‘ try came from a great line break and a 50-metre run in.  Callum Power also converted 2 tries for the Vikings.

The ‘walking rugby’ team also played on Parc y  Scarlet‘s pitch at half time in the Scarlets versus Edinburgh fixture and they drew three tries each , Gethin‘s daughter Megan played and also scored a try so it was a day of celebration for the Batemans.

As James Tylor, Richard Williams, Josh and Ross Price,  Dafydd Cowl, John Ellis, Youssef El Tawab and  Bleddyn Gibbs all had good games for the Vikings,  it was a great day for everyone and all a special part of the Scarlets’ Community Foundation Inclusion Day.
