Haworth bags late winner for The Road

 

Clarbeston Road 3 – Tenby 2

 

Laurie Haworth grabbed a late winner for Clarbeston Road who narrowly overcame Tenby in a five-goal thriller.
 
These two sides played each other just a few weeks ago as The Road dumped Tenby out of the Senior Cup on penalties.
 
In this league fixture the Road scored an early goal through Jake Booth, but three minutes before half time lively Tenby striker Scott Ferney equalised.
 
A minute after the interval Ferney bagged his second of the match as the visitors led 2-1.
 
On 52 minutes 17-year-old striker Rhys Lloyd-Roberts was in the right place at the right time as he levelled matters.
 
Ten minutes from time up popped Haworth who gleefully bagged the winner for The Road who are currently third in the table as Tenby are in sixth spot.
 
On Friday, 14th March Senior Cup holders Clarbeston Road play Milford United in the semi-final at the Ogi Bridge Meadow, kick off is at 7pm.

Greene uses his head to score winner for Goodwick

Striker Nathan Greene scored a second half winner for league leaders Goodwick United against battling St Ishmaels.
 
Tish played with a strong wind in their favour as they constantly put the champions under pressure without any luck as it stayed goalless at the break.
 
Chris O’Sullivan’s Goodwick outfit finally broke the deadlock in the 77th minute as substitute Rhys Dalling crossed for Greene to score with one of his trademark bullet headers.
 
That was the only goal of the match as Goodwick kept their unbeaten record intact with just three games left to play.
 
Battling Tish are sitting third from bottom just two points ahead of Milford United with just two games left to play as Herbrandston are already relegated.

Dylan Davies - was the star for Monkton, the striker bagged a hat-trick with three assistsOnce again Dylan Davies inspired Monkton Swifts to victory over Milford United as the striker bagged a hat-trick and also assisted for his sides three other goals.
 
The Swifts led 4-0 at the break as they totally dominated against the Robins at Monkton Lane, in form Davies bagged two goals in the opening 18 minutes before Connor Davies and Paul Miller banged in the third and fourth goals respectively.
 
Shortly after half time the Robins reacted with a goal for striker Scott Reid, but the Swifts grabbed tow further goals through Davies (hat-trick) and substitute Jonathan Lee to complete the scoring.
