Brennan Devonald puts in a strong tackle for Tish against Milford United

Manderwood Pembrokeshire Football League – Division 1

Tough basement derby day at Marble Hall

Milford United 0 – St Ishmaels 0

There might not have been any goals, but this bottom end of the table between Milford United and arch rivals St Ishmaels was not for the faint hearted at Marble Hall.

Referee Sean O’Connor had a tough day at the office as the tackles were flying in from both teams, remarkably no one got sent off but the O’Connor did issue eleven yellow cards as he kept a tight rein on proceedings

There were no real cut chances to talk about but the Robins and Tish picked up a point apiece as Tish sit second from bottom and the Robins are one place above them with five games left to play this season.

Much improved Herbie lost out to Clarby Road

 Herbrandston 0 – Clarbeston Road 3

Herbrandston still in search of their first win of the season put in a good showing despite losing at home against third in the table Clarbeston Road.

The visitors controlled matters as they built-up a three-goal cushion at half time. Sam Hurton bagged two goals in the space of two minutes before Josh Wood assisted for Jake Wesley who added a third on the stroke of half time.

Leigh Galdo’s team did not concede any further goals in the second half as they made it difficult for the Road to break them down.

In the 88th minute the visitors were awarded a penalty which Hurton missed – the 22 year old also missed out on bagging a hat-trick.
