Tenby AFC recently ran a very successful Summer Fun Football Camp in conjunction with the FAW and Vauxhall, the club chosen since it was one of only two in Pembrokeshire with silver accreditation.
 
Numbers were high, with participants ranging from 5 to 12 years old, and from the evaluation feedback forms everyone had a great time, especially playing in the football tournaments.
 
The players enjoyed improving their skills within small group sessions including: Coerver ball work, dribbling and turning drills, keep ups and goalkeeper skills. They practiced their shooting, which they then put to good use in the ever popular American Shootout and competed in the 1,2,3 and Four Corners Games.
 
The FA Cup competition saw Manchester City winning in the younger age group, and Swansea in the older group.
 
The following day the World Cup was held with Brazil victors in the younger age group and Wales narrow winners in the older competition.

All participants were presented with certificates and FAW mementoes, and tickets were available for the UEFA Women’s Under 19’s matches being played at Haverfordwest County AFC.
 
The next Tenby AFC Soccer School will be held in the October half term holidays.
