Pembrokeshire Schools show their skills

Pembrokeshire Schools recently played visiting under 10’s and under 11’s  teams  from Histon Football Club Academy near Cambridge , who were staying at Manorbier Youth Hostel.

The matches were played on Tenby Astro turf  and produced a good standard of football, as well as the opportunity for Pembrokeshire players to test their ability against players of their own age from other parts of the UK.    Pembrokeshire always had the edge in these small-sided games but Histon acquitted themselves well in a mini-tournament which was contested in an excellent spirit

Hopefully this will just be the start,  with Histon FC  Academy Manager Angus Meichan agreeing to  host some matches  with Haverfordwest  County Football Academy  and extend a fixture list which already includes  Reading, Brighton, Doncaster, Brentford, Walsall, Coventry, Wycombe,  Southend and York.
