Amazingly there were 48 goals scored in total in the seven matches played in the Manderword Pembrokeshire Football League First Division on Saturday.
Champions Goodwick United narrowly beat Carew
1-0 at Phoenix Park; the only goal of the match was scored by Sean Seymour Davies.
Leigh Walters scored twice for Johnston who beat Narberth
2-1 at Glebelands, the visitors goal scorer was Macaulay Connor.
Nathan Ferrier and Billy Davis scored a brace apiece alongside a good strike by Sam Southcott to help Lamphey to an easy
5-2 win at home against Milford United; Taku Padiwa scored both The Robins’ goals.
Steven McNabney, Chris Ormond and a Joe Leahy penalty saw Merlins Bridge lose
3-5 at home against Hakin United. A brilliant hat-trick by Nicky Woodrow alongside goals by Adam John and Ryan Wilson kept the Vikings’ unbeaten league record intact.
Pennar Robins lost
3-4 against derby neighbours Monkton Swifts at Bush Camp. Carl Rees, Craig Lucas and Richard Hughes netted for the homesters, but The Swifts secured the points with goals scored by Thomas Powell, Ben Nicholas penalty, Daniel Scourfield and Ben Adams.
The biggest score line of the afternoon was at the Clicketts where Tenby won
9-5 against Neyland. Sam Christopher struck four times alongside a brace each for Nathan Patterson and Daryl Mansbridge and a goal for old head Jack Christopher. The Nomads scorers were Wayne Parry (2), Henry Durrant, Andrew Kemp and Kieron Howells.
West Dragons thrashed Angle
8-1 at the Pavilion Ground. Bagging the goals for the Dragons was a hat-trick each for Scott Crawford and Nathan Greene alongside solitary efforts by Simon Gilderdale and Ewan Cunningham. Chris Richards scored Angle’s only goal.
