Goals galore as Angle, Narberth and Pennar Robins progress in Senior CupThere were plenty of goals scored in the Manderwood Pembrokeshire Football League First Division, a total of 33 from just five matches played.

Bottom of the table West Dragons were thrashed 0-13 at home against champions Hakin United. Bagging the goals for the on five Vikings were Justin Harding (4), Steve Mathias (3), Nicky Woodrow (3), Adam Davies, Ben Aldred and Paul Thompson.

Merlins Bridge came out on top 3-0 against second from bottom Saundersfoot Sports with Nathan Greene (2) and Stephen McNabney scoring for the Wizards.

Mike Chandler (2), Gary Power, own goal netted for Neyland who won 4-2 at home against Monkton Swifts, Blake James and Dan Scourfield replied for the visitors.

Herbrandston deservedly won 3-2 at home against Tenby. Scott Reid (2) and Simon Mathias struck for Herbie whilst Daryl Mansbridge and Jordan Richards scored for the visitors.

St Clears narrowly lost 2-3 at home against Goodwick United. Owain Evans and Nick Squire scored for the homesters, and Jonny Horgan, Rob Morgans and Rhys Dalling found the back of the net for the Phoenix Lads.

There were three Senior Cup Round two ties played. Division Two Clarbeston Road narrowly lost 3-4 at home against First Division Angle. Jason Griffiths, Richard Bevan and Danny Clarke nettedGoals were the order of the day as Angle, Narberth and Pennar Robins progress in Senior Cup for the Road and the visitors edged into the quarter-final thanks to a brace apiece by Scott Richards and Ben Adams.

Second Division Fishguard Sports put up a spirited display as they narrowly lost 0-1 at St Mary’s against First Division opponents Narberth; Tony Evans struck the winner for the Bluebirds.

Johnston was thrashed 0-5 at home against fellow First Division rivals Pennar Robins, netting for the visitors were Phil Thompson (3), Richard Hughes and Sam Southcott.
