Vikings run riot to close gap at top of table
Hakin United 11 – Herbrandston 0

Hakin United were too strong for bottom of the table Herbrandston to cope with as Scott Davies’ team ran riot at the Obs.
The two-week festive break ensured the Vikings were fresh going into this clash against their struggling neighbours, this big win saw them take full advantage to close the gap to within a point on leaders Goodwick United whose game at Kilgetty was postponed.
The Vikings led 4-0 at the break as Shane Walsh struck a first half hat-trick alongside a Kieran King goal.
Four minutes after the interval Hakin were awarded a penalty which Jack Britton despatched, minutes later they were awarded a second spot-kick, this time Lean Luby made no mistake from 12 yards for his side’s sixth.
Britton added two further goals as he was the second player on the day to claim a hat-trick, Jay Kilby drilled in the ninth, and substitute Ashley Bevan used his vast experience to claim a late brace in his first appearance of the season to complete the scoring.

Bridge and Tish settle for a draw
Merlins Bridge 2 – St Ishmaels 2

Merlins Bridge and St Ishmaels served up some entertaining football on a cold grey day which finished all square at the Pembrokeshire Sports Village.
The Bridge are currently sixth in the tables whilst Tish are fourth from bottom only two points above the drop zone.
Harvey Dalton and Tom Gwilliam made good ground down the right with the latter setting up Josh Thomas who scored with the second bite of the cherry.
However, the Wizards’ lead was short lived as Adam Kingsbeer broke into the box saw the striker who buried his effort at stand-in keeper Ben Skudder’s near post.
Tish took the lead five minutes after the interval as Brennan Devonald’s strong header was parried by Skudder only for Finlay Armstrong to apply the scoring touch.
Mike Preddy’s Wizards squared matter on 58 minutes as Tom Jago’s corner caused problems but the ever alert Gwilliam scored through a crowded area to earn his side a point.

Crucial win for Rooks against Robins
Carew 5 – Milford United 1

Marcus Griffiths bagged a brace for Carew who gained a crucial win over Milford United at the Gerald Hicks Recreational Ground.
This was the Rooks’ fourth win of the season as the Robins slipped down to the dreaded second from bottom position.
The Robins got off to a flyer as 16-year-old Joey Jones scored an early opener for the visitors.
It didn’t last long as Griffiths equalised for the hosts minutes later James Hinchliffe put his side 2-1 ahead, then the unfortunate Sam Davies scored an own goal as Chris Richards’ Carew led 3-1 at half time.
In the 64
th minute Shaun Whitfield added his name to the scoresheet before Griffiths added the fifth securing an important three points.

Swifts stun derby rivals Pennar
Pennar Robins 1 – Monkton Swifts 3

Monkton Swifts grabbed two late goals to earn the derby bragging rights against Pennar Robins at Bush Camp.
Earlier in the season the Robins won at the Swifts, this clash looked to be heading for a draw until late drama saw the visitors pinch the points.
Pennar are currently fifth in the table whilst this crucial win for the Swifts sees them sitting uneasy in third from bottom.
Dan James set-up Jamie Wilkes who bagged the opener for the Robins against his former Swifts teammates.
On the stroke of half time Gareth Finnegan assisted for Connor Davies to score the equaliser.
After the break it was close as both teams missed chances but in the 88
th minute substitute Jonathan Lee struck gave the visitors the lead due to another Finnegan assist.
Deep in stoppage time Dylan Davies added a third to break the Robins’ hearts much to the delight of the Swifts’ camp.

Tenby nick a point in stoppage time
Tenby 3 – Clarbeston Road 3

Tenby’s super sub Kieran Allen grabbed a dramatic stoppage time equaliser against stunned Clarbeston Road at the Clicketts.
Third in the table Clarby Road were narrowly leading 3-2 against battling third placed Tenby who pinched a point when all seemed lost.
It all started well for Tenby as the led 2-1 at the interval as Daryl Williams and Fraser Final both scored as Jake Booth pulled one back.
After the break the Road got on top as Laurie Haworth equalised before the latter set up striker Ben John who added the visitors’ third.
Clarby thought they had done enough to win it, but up popped super sub Allen who found the back of the net for a share of the spoils.
