Midfielder Jack Britton scored twice for Hakin United who overcame spirited ten-man Monkton Swifts at the Obs.
 
Scott Davies’ Vikings picked up all important three points as they closed the gap on leaders Goodwick United to just four points.
 
The hosts got off to a dream start as a mix-up in the Swifts’ defence allowed Britton to score with an easy close range finish.
 
Mark Jones’ towering header from a corner was brilliantly saved by Swifts’ goalkeeper Taylor Gullam who showed superb reactions to keep out the central defender’s powerful effort.
 
On the hour mark the visitors were reduced to ten-men as the Vikings took full advantage to score a crucial second goal as Leon Luby’s corner was met by a firm header by Britton as the ball crashed into the back of the net to secure the points for the title chasing Vikings

Wizards work magic to win at Marble Hall

Merlins Bridge put on a dominate second half display to gain an impressive victory against Milford United at Marble Hall.
 
Midway through the first period Tomos Gwilliam bundled the ball in the back of Charlie Malloy’s net for the opener, a minute earlier Nick Squire desperately cleared the ball off his goal line as lively Robins’ striker Liam Parks dinked the ball over advancing Wizards’ goalkeeper James Dickson.
 
It stayed level at half time, but after the break the Wizards began to get on top when they were rewarded with a second goal as David Cromwell teed up Nathan Evans who struck a powerful shot from inside the box which flew into the roof of the net.
 
The Wizards added a third in the 68th minute as goal scorer Gwilliam crossed an inch perfect ball for striker Hayden Dimond header past advancing keeper Malloy and a defender to score from 12 yards out.
 
Ten minutes later Dimond was up ended inside the box for a clear penalty which the striker dusted himself off to make no mistake with the resultant spot kick for his second goal of the game.

Luckless Herbie lose nine-goal thriller

LATE WINNER - Marcus Griffiths grabbed a late winner for Carew at HerbrandstonCarew came from behind to secure a narrow victory against luckless Herbandston in this nine-goal basement battle thriller.
 
Herbie led 4-2 at half time, but a late rally by the Rooks saw them cruelly nick the points when it looked at one stage that Herbie would get something out of this encounter.
 
Matthew Jones gave the hosts an early lead but it was short lived as Leon Davies equalised.
 
However, Herbie kept pushing forward and were rewarded as Jones bagged his second before Adam Whatling added his side’s third, George Waters pulled one back before Whatling also grabbed his second of the game – it put Herbie 4-2 up at the break.
 
Late in the second period the match was turned on it’s head as Shaun Whitfield scored twice in the space of a minute to level matters, in the 79th minute Marcus Griffiths bagged the winner to leave Herbrandston broken hearted.

Hat-trick hero Ferney stuns Robins

 

HAT-TRICK HERO - Scott Ferney bagged an important treble for Tenby against Pennar RobinsTenby 3 – Pennar Robins 2

 
Scott Ferney grabbed an important hat-trick for Tenby who narrowly overcame Pennar Robins at the Clicketts.
 
The hosts took the lead as the lively Ferney chipped goalkeeper Rory Williams, but back came the visitors as they squared matters just five minutes later when Cameron Brunton’s shot cum cross was deflected into the back of Dylan Noot’s net.
 
After half time the Robins took the lead as Brunton’s perfect cross was met by at 12 yard bullet header by Ben Adams.
 
At that stage, the Robins seemed in control but a contentious equaliser was scored by Ferney who the visitors claimed he was in an offside position as he received the ball.
 
The hosts bagged the winner as Pennar failed to clear their lines as Tenby took full advantage to attack as Fraser Finlay set up Ferney who made no mistake as he bagged the winner in 86th minute in a highly entertaining clash.
