Adam and Jerome score a brace apiece for Tenby

Tenby 4 – Fishguard Sports 2

Adam Muskett and Jerome Mansbridge scored a brace apiece which helped Tenby come from behind to secure victory against rock bottom Fishguard Sports.

This game was switched to the 4G Pembrokeshire Sports Village at Haverfordwest High School as Tenby’s Clicketts ground was unplayable.

However, it was the visitors who took an early lead as Greg Hughes’ well measured through pass fell inviting to teammate Adam Lawrence who ran clear before he ghosted past Tenby keeper Dylan Noot and struck a low drive in the far corner.

The second half belonged to fifth in the table Tenby, who controlled and dominated the second period, as Mansbridge set-up Muskett with the equaliser.

A couple of minutes later the same combination set-up the second goal, midway through the second half Tenby added their third of the game as veteran Richard Perry assisted for Mansbridge.

Thirteen minutes from full time Tenby added a fourth as Fraser Finlay teed-up Mansbridge who made no mistake from inside the box, on the stroke of full time Adam Lawrence also scored his second of the game, but it was a classic case of too little too late for The Sports.

After the break, this game continued to go end-to-end before Travis Jones’ corner was headed home from close range by Laurie Howarth to level matters.
