League leaders Goodwick United gained a hard fought victory against Merlins Bridge at the Pembrokeshire Sports Village.
 
Goodwick manager Chris O’Sullivan will be delighted his side came away with another three points as they currently sit four points clear at the top of the table with superior goals difference as they aim to retain the title.
 
The visitors led 1-0 at the break, set piece specialist Rhys Jones broke the deadlock in the 33rd minute as he coolly struck from a superb 25 yard free kick.
 
After the break the Phoenix Lads continued to control matters against the spirited Wizards, in the 73rd minute the pressure told as Nick Squire scored in his own net, and bang on full time Jones struck the third for his second of game to put the reigning champions out of sight.

Rooks run riot against Herbie

Carew ran riot in this basement clash against rock bottom Herbrandston at the Gerald Hicks Memorial Ground.
 
Manager Scott Richards will be happy his team won comprehensively as a result they moved out of the relegation zone.
 
The Rooks led 6-0 at the break and they remarkably banged in a further ten goals to boost their goal difference column.
 
James Hinchliffe led the goals rush with six, there was a quickfire hat-trick from Shaun Whitfield, George Waters struck four, Gareth Lewis on target with a brace and a solitary effort by Leon Davies completed the rout.

Comfortable win for Clarby Road

 

Clarbeston Road 5 – St Ishmaels 2

 
Clarbeston Road gained a comfortable victory against St Ishmaels on a wet afternoon at Knock Field.
 
This victory sees the Road third in the table, whilst Tish slipped back into the relegation zone.
 
Ben John blazed an early penalty over the crossbar, minutes later Tish were awarded a penalty that skipper Brennan Devonald comfortably despatched.
 
But the lead was short lived as Jake Wesley found the back of Andy Pawlett’s net to square matters, Laurie Haworth and Dan Rees both added further goals for the Road who led 3-1 at the interval.
 
Ten minutes after the break Wesley bagged his second of the game for the Road’s fourth, Devonald pulled one back, which was also his second of the match.
 
However, after his earlier penalty miss, striker John made some amends as he buried his side’s fifth.

Kilby strikes twice for Vikings

Jay Kilby scored twice to ensure Hakin United beat Monkton Swifts  at Monkton Lane.
 
This win kept the Vikings in the title race; however, it didn’t start to well for Scott Davies’ team as they fell behind to a  superb12 yard bullet header from Swifts’ striker Dylan Davies.
 
The visitors equalised four minutes later as Leon Luby’s corner  was headed home by skipper Ryan Wilson.
 
Twelve minutes before half time the visitors got their noses in front as Mark Jones headed home a Wilson cross.
 
After the break Kilby drilled in the third in the 53rd minute, then in the 76th minute Kilby added  his second for the fourth, when his shot rebounded off the crossbar and he found the back of the net at the second time of asking.

Battle of the Robins finishes all square

Both Milford United and Pennar Robins had to settle for a draw at the final whistle in the battle of the Robins at Marble Hall.
 
This was a cracking game for the neutral as this result could have gone either way, but as it unfolded they had to settle for a point apiece.
 
Liam Davies gave the Robins the lead in the 19th minute as Tommy Powles assisted for the opener.
 
Jamie Wilkes equalised in the 62nd minute, just five minutes later Dan James gave Pennar the lead.
 
However, just four minutes later Leon Davies drilled in the equaliser, ten minutes from full time United were down to ten-men as Sam Davies was issued a second yellow card from referee Paul Rooney.

Late drama as Kilgetty nick win

Richard Cope - scored a dramatic winner for Kilgetty at TenbyKilgetty produced late drama to come from behind to secure victory against derby rivals Tenby at the Clicketts.
 
This was a game that Tenby would have felt quietly confident of winning, but Kilgetty were prepared to write their own agenda in an upset.
 
Spencer Williams found Joe Leahy who scored an early opener for the hosts, four minutes later the visitors levelled matters as Jordan Richards teed up teammate Jordan Gorman.
 
Jacob Hipkiss assisted Scott Ferney who found the back of James North’s net which gave Tenby a slender 2-1 lead at the break.
 
In a cagey second period both sides missed chances, but the game dramatically changed in the 80th minute as Lloyd Hughes equalised, just a minute later up popped skipper Richard Cope who bagged a timely winner.
