Dramatic Clarby fight back seals unlikely win

 

Clarbeston Road 5 – Monkton Swifts 4

 
Clarbeston Road came from behind as they grabbed four late goals to secure a dramatic victory against shell shocked Monkton Swifts.
 
For the majority of this tussle the Swifts were in control, Jack Clarke scored with two terrific strikes which put the Swifts in control, on the stroke of half time Ben Steele added a third for the visitors.
 
Four minutes after the interval Jake Wesley found the back of the net for the Road, however, ten minutes later Liam Butland scored which gave the visitors a healthy 4-1 lead.
 
But the Road then found their over drive gear as they scored goals at will as the Swifts defence collapsed.
 
Laurie Haworth and Ben John scored in quick succession before Haworth equalised with his second of this entertaining clash.
 
In the third minute of stoppage time up popped Travis Jones who struck a timely winner for Matt Fox’s Clarby Road outfit which broke the Swifts’ hearts.

Bridge edges five-goal thriller at Carew

Jordan Thomas - clears the danger for Bridge against CarewMerlins Bridge edged a five-goal thriller at the Gerald Hicks Recreational Ground.
 
Both teams played each other last week, on that occasion a Leon Davies second half strike earned the Rooks the points.
 
However, this time it was the Wizards who claimed the three points in another tough fought clash.
 
Just before the break skipper Jordan Thomas found the back of the net which gave his side a slender one goal cushion at the interval.
 
Midway through the second period Marcus Griffiths equalised, but the Wizards claimed two late goals through substitute Liam Manwaring and Tom Jago as they opened up a 3-1 advantage.
 
On the stroke of full time Leon Davies pulled one back but it was a classic case of too little too late for the Rooks as the Bridge claimed the victory.

Robins’ four-star Reid returns to haunt Herbie

Scott Reid grabbed four goals against his former team-mates which helped Milford United claim the double over strugglers Herbrandston.
 
The Robins led 3-1 at the break as they added two further goals to run out comfortable victors.
 
The star of the show was deadly striker Reid, he opened the scoring thanks to a neat Morgan Picton assist, minutes later Adam Whatling equalised for the hosts.
 
Reid claimed two further goals, one from the spot as the Robins controlled matters up to the break.
 
Shortly after the turnaround it was Rhys Brawn who scored his sides fourth before another Picton and Reid combination effort chalked up the fifth.

Hakin win tough clash at Kilgetty

Hakin United stay top of the table after a hard fought victory against Kilgetty at the Kingsmoor Ground.
 
It was the hosts who opened the scoring early as Lloyd Hughes struck from close range.
 
Vikings manager Scott Davies demanded a reaction from his players as they quickly responded as Justin ‘Skinny’ Harding equalised from a rebound inside the area.
 
On the 30 minute mark, Alfie Stotter created a bit of magic as he unleashed an unstoppable 20 yard drive which flew in the top corner of James North’s net.
 
For the remainder it was keenly contested but the Vikings bagged two further late goals – Leo Power struck a low drive from 15 yards for the third, also Jay Kilby created a routine tap-in for Shane Walsh to complete the scoring.

Pennar narrowly defeat battling Tish

Pennar Robins 2 – St Ishmaels 1

 
Pennar Robins edged a hard fought clash with battling St Ishmaels at Bush Camp.
 
Both the Robins’ goals came just before the break, both were supplied by neat Dan James’ assists, the opener was scored by Cameron Brunton, the second claimed by Nick Willis.
 
In a keenly contested second half the only goal was scored by the visitors in the 79th minute, skipper Brennan Devonald the provider as Joel Mills found the back of Rory Williams’ net.
 
However, as hard as they tried Tish couldn’t find an elusive equaliser as Pennar stayed firm to collect their second win of the season.

Dramatic Haworth late double seals unlikely win

 

Will Haworth - scored two dramatic late goals for GoodwickTenby 1 – Goodwick United 2

 
Will Haworth dramatically scored two late goals to secure champions Goodwick United an unlikely victory at Tenby.
 
The Seasiders narrowly led in this clash 1-0 up until the 84th minute before Haworth equalised, then he cruelly won it as he struck a stoppage time winner.
 
The hosts broke the deadlock in the 30th minute as Ned Davies played in Richard Perry who rounded keeper Nick Jones as the 46-year-old gleefully tucked the ball into an empty net.
 
The visitors dominated territory and possession but struggled to find a way past brilliant Tenby goalkeeper Dylan Noot.
 
Rhys Dalling finally opened up the Tenby defence as he set-up Haworth who stroked home the equaliser. Deep in stoppage time a corner was headed on by skipper Scott Delaney which found Haworth was in the right place at the right time to nod in a dramatic winner.
