Despite heavy rain that fell during the week there were still five matches played in the Manderwood Pembrokeshire Football League Division One on Saturday.
The shock result of the afternoon was at the Clicketts. Tenby inflicted a first defeat of the season against champions Hakin United. The homesters won
3-2, Dave Rees, Joe Leahy and Sonny Phillips netted for the Seasiders, Justin Harding and a penalty by Nicky Woodrow, found the back of the net for the stunned Vikings.
Johnston gained a comfortable
4-1 victory at home against St Clears. Adam Hawkins cracked a brilliant hat-trick alongside a well taken goal by his Tigers’ team-mate Ryan Doyle, the visitors’ only goal of the match was scored by Daniel Ramsey.
Narberth drew
3-3 at home against battling Angle. Matthew Price, Jordan Williams and Raff Barnett netted for the Bluebirds and Chris Richards and Josh Clark replied for the visitors.
Gary Power and Scott Jones scored the goals that earned Neyland a thoroughly deserved
2-0 victory against Goodwick United at the Athletic Ground.
Merlins Bridge drew
2-2 with Pennar Robins at the Racecourse. Nathan Greene and Stephen McNabney netted for the Wizards, and a Sam Southcott goal and Ben Steele penalty earned the visitors a share of the spoils.
