Experienced Sports edge past young Vikings

Jack Griffiths scored two stunning free kicks which helped Fishguard Sports claim a crucial victory against a young Hakin United Reserves outfit to reach the Second Division Cup Final.
 
This semi-final clash was held at Knock Field, home of Clarbeston Road on a glorious sun kissed afternoon.
 
The Sports opened the scoring in the 15th minute as Griffiths sweetly struck a low edge of the area free kick which beat Vikings’ goalkeeper Josh Lewis diving down to his right.
 
Thirteen minutes later Griffiths bagged his second of the tie as the 22-year-old struck a wicked 18 yard free kick which flew in the top corner.
 
Greg Hughes got on the end of an excellent Ieuan Llewellyn cross from the left which he made no mistake from close range.
 
On 51 minutes Griffiths had an opportunity to claim a personal hat-trick but he missed from the penalty spot.
 
Two minutes from full time the Vikings grabbed a consolation goal through Leon Pemberthy, but it was a classis case of too little to late as the Sports will meet Narberth in the final on Tuesday, 23rd April at the Ogi Bridge Meadow Stadium, kick off is at 7pm.

Bluebirds win five-goal thriller to reach final

 

Camrose 2 – Narberth 3

 
Hat-trick hero - Steffan Williams bagged a superb treble for Narberth against CamroseHat-trick hero Steffan Williams grabbed an 80th minute winner for Narberth who claimed a five-goal thriller against Camrose who battled to the bitter end.
 
This game was played at Herbrandston on a beautiful sunny afternoon with the pitch in fine fettle.
 
Williams opened the scoring for The Bluebirds on 26 minutes, however, Camrose hit back with goals from Lewis Watts and Rhodri Howell to narrowly lead 2-1 at half time.
 
After the break the Bluebirds levelled matters in the 55th minute before ten minutes from full time, up popped man of the match Williams to bag a winner and set-up a thrilling cup final date with Fishguard Sports.
