Former Tenby AFC footballer, Nieve Jenkins (who hails from Begelly) was recently selected for the Wales Under 15’s Girls Squad 2, alongside her clubmate, Lani Hogben.  Both girls play for Newcastle Emlyn Under 14’s in the West Wales Women’s and Girls’ League.
 
They represented their country in the International Bob Docherty Tournament, held at Dragon Park, Newport. Both girls featured in the Scotland game. Lani came off the bench to play England and Nieve played the second half against Northern Ireland. Both girls began their footballing career in the Pembrokeshire Girls’ League and have progressed through their dedicated efforts.
 
Both families and former coaches are very proud of their achievements. The girls will receive their Welsh Caps at a later date.
 
Nieve is a regular helper at Tenby AFC Soccer Schools.
