Division Two (West) A:
Jones grabs a hat-trick as Borderers bag deserved promotion
Congratulations to Whitland as three tries from hooker Marc Jones helped them win
34-10 at third-placed Pontarddulais and ensure promotion back to Division One (West) at the first attempt – with the chance of picking up the section silverware still a distinct possibility as they are now level with Hendy but have a game in hand.
The Borderers found themselves 5-0 in arrears early on as No 8 Craig Davies scored from close range but with skipper Nico Setaro probing for openings from the efforts of his pack, they were soon level with a try by Jones from a rolling maul – and were 12-5 in front at the oranges as some quick hands amongst the backs saw Jonathan Thomas slice through for a quality try which Setaro converted.
The tremendous work rate of the Whitland pack saw two more support tries for Jones alongside others by Scott Lloyd and Nico Setaro, who added a second conversion to round off a great evening for The Mighty Borderers!

Division Three (West) A:
Milford Haven moved back top of the table with a
38-17 win over Llangwm.
Scrum half Dan McClelland crossed twice, with further tries for Dai Sweeny, Lee Riley, Jack Clancy and Zac Davies. McClelland added four conversions.
Josh Hicks, John O’Boyle and Gethin Thomas scored for The Wasps, with Luke Hayman kicking a conversion.
Laugharne enjoyed a hard-fought
22-10 at Haverfordwest as Tom Jameson exerted a considerable influence by scoring the first two tries and added one conversion as they led 12-5 at half time – veteran hooker Graham Jenkins responding for The Blues with a close-range try.
Ross Michael added a third try for Laugharne in the second half and Jameson was again involved as he notched the conversion and a penalty.
The Blues were always in the game but failed to turn pressure into points and all they had to show for their efforts was an unconverted try by Josh Atherton.
