With Neyland taking on Felinfoel in the Welsh Indoor Cricket Final tomorrow (Sunday) organiser Patrick Hannon arranged this special match against some of the best young players from this season’s indoor league programme to give them a little match practice – and that is exactly what they got before they ran out winners by 20 runs.
 
Neyland co-captain Sean Hannon was certainly the hero of the hour as he rescued a disappointing start with a best-ever innings of 57 not out, which represented more than half the runs coming off the Neyland bats and late replacement George Evans supported with a late 14 amidst some excellent catching and fielding by their eager opponents – before co-captain Ross Hardy did the business with the ball as he claimed three wickets.
 
Paul Murray showing what an excellent keeper he is with two sharp stumpings and a simple catch to end the game, whilst George James (Hook) took two excellent catches and batted well alongside Billy Wood before No 6 batsman Charlie Malloy (Herbrandston) caused a few late tremors with successive sixes alongside his two wickets to show what strides he has made this campaign.
