Hakin have a good day against Seaside

Hakin United eased into the last eight following an impressive convincing victory over West Wales Premier League Seaside at the Obs.
The Vikings led 2-0 at the interval, the opener came in the 24
th minute as Ashley Bevan headed home at the far post which stemmed from a Jake Merry free kick inside the box which was headed by Shane Walsh straight to the lurking with intent striker.
The hosts added a second in the 31
st minute as Alfie Stotter fed Jack Britton, the midfielder struck a 25 yard screamer.
Three minutes before the interval the Vikings were awarded a penalty as Britton saw his well struck 12 yard effort brilliantly saved by Seaside’s goalkeeper David Hughes.
In the 73
rd minute Scott Davies’ Vikings added a crucial third as Walsh’s edge of the area low drive went through the legs of keeper Davies.
The visitors were reduced to ten men when Corey Richards received a second yellow card off referee Richard Vaughan.
Five minutes from full time substitute Jack Griffiths was in the right place at the right time to score his side’s fourth to complete the scoring.

Wizards work magic to progress in cup
Glynneath Town 1 – Merlins Bridge 2
Merlins Bridge picked up a deserved away victory at Neath Premier Glynneath Town to march into the West Wales Intermediate Cup quarter finals.
Mike Preddy’s Wizards led 1-0 at half time as Josh Thomas fed Jason Griffiths the striker deftly lobbed goalkeeper Daniel Thomas.
Four minutes after the break the visitors doubled the lead as goal scorer Jason Griffiths pulled the ball back to Josh Thomas who struck a sweet left footed effort into the back of the net.
In the 89
th minute the hosts pulled one back through substitute Cai Davies, but it was a classic case of too little too late for the Neath outfit.

Jones is spot-on for Goodwick
Goodwick United 1 – Cwmamman United 0

Rhys Jones’ second half penalty earned Goodwick United a slender but deserved victory over West Wales Premier League outfit at Phoenix Park to reach the last eight of this prestigious competition.
Goodwick manager was delighted with his teams performance as they all worked hard and dominated the cup tie from the first whistle until the last.
Just before half time the hosts were awarded a penalty which Jones took responsibility but Cwmamman goalkeeper Kurtis Bray pulled off a superb save to ensure it remained goalless at the interval.
In the 78
th minute the hosts were awarded a second penalty for a handball offence, again up stepped Jones who this time sent keeper Bray the wrong way as the ball crashed into the back of the net.
That crucial goal was enough to earn Goodwick victory as they now look forward to playing in the quarter finals.

Dylan’s brace earns Swifts victory over CKSK
Monkton Swifts 2 – CKSV 0

Striker Dylan Davies grabbed a superb brace to help Monkton Swifts to defeat West Wales Premier 10-man CKSV to reach the last eight of this prestigious cup clash at Monkton Lane.
This was always going to be a tricky tie for the Swifts, but they deservedly won while they kept a clean sheet, they could have bagged a few more goals.
Midway through the first period Paul Miller set-up Davies who made no mistake which gave his side the lead.
After the interval the visitors were reduced to ten men as Liam Thomas received a straight red card from referee Spencer Williams.
Just pas the hour mark Miller assisted for the second time for Davies to find the back of keeper Connor Murphy-Healy’s net much to the delight of the Swifts whose name has been placed in the hat for the mouth-watering quarter final draw.

Tenby edge Pennar on dramatic penalty shootout
Pennar Robins 3 – Tenby 3 – AET
(Tenby win 16-15 on penalties)
Tenby won this all Pembrokeshire tie on penalties against unlucky Pennar Robins in this titanic tie played at Bush Camp.
Games between these two teams are rarely boring, this tie no exception as it had everything, it finished 3-3 at full time and extra time then the dreaded shootout took place which Tenby incredibly won 16-15. Daniel James missed which left Jerome Williams to strike the winner.
Jamie Wilkes gave Pennar the lead in the 29
th minute before hit back with goals from Jerome Williams and Jacob Hipkiss as the visitors lead 2-1 at the break.
Five minutes after the interval Scott Ferney added a third for Tenby but back came with goals from Cameron Brunton and Ben Adams which levelled matters after 90 minutes. No further goals in extra time saw Williams bag from the spot in an epic shootout.
