This was a hard-fought match with both sides having scoring opportunities. Pembs ke

eper David Varney made some very good saves and at the other end Archie Hughes and Osian Hill kept the Afan Nedd defence on their toes. Charlie Phillips and Lewis Morgan defended well with Alex Wainwright working hard up and down the pitch. Tyler Shiels and Finley Davies covered a lot of ground in midfield with Jack Griffiths and Joel Mills running well on the flanks. A lack of concentration by the Pembs defence, in the latter stages of the second half, saw Afan Nedd score the only goal of the game – leaving Pembs counting the cost of missed chances.

Pembrokeshire went out with real determination in this match, but went 1-0 down against the run of play. Pembrokeshire’s attacking attitude soon brought goals from Archie Hughes and Osian Hill. Hughes added a third in the second half and this took the game out of Afan Nedd’s reach. This was a much better squad effort, with all players contributing to a well-deserved win.

This started off as a very tight game with both sides desperate to score. Rowan Fair, in the Pembs goal, looked safe and Ioan Roberts, Gethin Greenhalgh and Sam Houston were solid in defence. Ryan Hughes worked hard on the left hand-side of the pitch with Liam Parks and Finn Robertson supplying plenty of ball to the front runners.
The Pembs goal scorers were Osian Smith, Jack Baker and Kieran King. All the goals were well worked – showing that simple football pays off.

Pembrokeshire made a slower start in this match and conceded a goal early on but this spurned them on and within minutes they had equalised and then went ahead. Jack Baker scored four great goals for Pembs and Osian Smith slotted the ball home again for Pembs, who ran out worthy winners after an excellent team display of football.
