Ollie continues to score goals galore
Ollie Wheeler continues to catch the eye in senior hockey, despite the fact that he is only just 16 years of age, with another series of eye-catching performances for Swansea City Men in the Welsh Senior Men’s Indoor Club Championships.
He was the youngest player in the tournament but still the top goal scorer with eight goals, comprising seven outfield goals and one penalty corner in four matches.
The second placed scorer had three outfield goals and converted four penalty corners, which make Ollie's achievement even better as penalty corners in indoor hockey are so much easier to convert than outfield goals. What is more praiseworthy is the fact that he was ahead in the goal-scoring stakes than many experienced and international players!
Swansea City came third overall in a tightly-contested tournament and his performances received praise from the Hockey Wales Tournament web page.
