Netball scores a hit with pupils
Primary pupils in the St David’s area are stepping out on court for after school netball sessions run for the St David’s family of primary schools by Sport Pembrokeshire - the sports development service of Pembrokeshire County Council – aided by Year 10 Ysgol Dewi Sant pupils.
Over 25 primary pupils have taken part in the sessions, which are held after school on Wednesdays in the St David’s sports hall.
Looking to the future
“The sessions have become so popular that we intend to continue running them throughout this month,” said Amanda John, Sport Pembrokeshire School Sports Coordinator.
“We also hope that some of the youngsters might go on to join the local Saints Netball Club.”
Organised by Sport Pembrokeshire, the 5x60 project aims to encourage pupils to take part in extra curricular activities, while getting fit at the same time.
