To get to the Inter County Championship, Pembrokeshire had to take on county teams from all around Wales and they beat West Glamorgan and Montgomeryshire in the Welsh county final in April 2013, played at Llandrindod Wells.

The squad is made up of players from all over Pembrokeshire and of all ages – from 17 to 70! Short mat bowls is an inclusive sport and one of the few where the whole family can get involved. In the Pembrokeshire county squad there are four pairs of fathers and sons and one pair of brothers!

The county players are selected from clubs all across Pembrokeshire, including the Badgers (who play in Llanteg), Freystrop, Hook, Letterston, Merlin’s Bridge, Narberth, St Elidyr (who play in East Williamston) and Tavernspite.
