Owain Jones - scored the only goal for Haverfordwest County at The New SaintsThe New Saints have gone fifteen points clear at the top of the table following this five-goal demolition over third- placed Haverfordwest County at the Park Hall.
 
The reigning champions led 3-1 at the interval before they added two further goals in the second period to secure a comfortable day at the office for Carl Harrison’s professional outfit.
 
The hosts were gifted the lead in the 22nd minute as the luckless Bluebirds’ Luke Tabone got the final scoring touch inside his own box, and three minutes later Danny Davies was on target with the second.
 
Aramide Jay Oteh added the third with 29 minutes on the clock before Owain Jones got on the end of goalkeeper’s Zac Jones’ assist to pull one back for the Bluebirds, who trailed 3-1 at the break.
 
The New Saints added a fourth on 61 minutes before substitute Jordan Williams made no mistake with the fifth to complete the scoring.
 
Tony Pennock’s men tasted their first defeat since the split, but they will be looking to bounce back to winning ways when they travel to Bala Town on Saturday, 15th March.
