Senior Cup Round 2
Hakin overcome determined Kilgetty
Hakin United 3 – Kilgetty 0
Hakin United bagged three second half goals as they deservedly overcame battling Kilgetty to march into the quarter finals at the Obs.
In a keenly contested first half it amazingly finished goalless at the break.
The Vikings finally opened the scoring in the 63
rd minute as Leon Lubby found substitute Ashley Bevan who then cleverly found skipper Ryan Wilson who clinically found the bottom corner from six yards.
On the stroke of full time the Vikings doubled their lead as Luby’s well flighted free kick in the box was met by a powerful Mark Jones far post header which crashed into the net.
Deep in injury time Alfie Stotter rounded keeper Ben Evans as the substitute tucked the ball into the empty net.
The Vikings’ display was tarnished as Luby received a red card from referee Stefan Jenkins on the stroke of full time – it’s a bitter blow for Vikings as the wide sided midfielder will now serve a three match ban.

Miles bagged the opener on the 38 minute mark, but five minutes after half time Matthew Jones equalised for the home outfit.

Both sides created chances in the opening 45 but neither could score in a typical frenetic cup clash.
Chris O’Sullivan’s men broke the deadlock just two minutes after half time as Luke Hayward’s corner fell invitingly for midfielder Rhys Jones who struck a low hard shot in the bottom corner.

th minute as the wide sided player was set-up by goal scorer Jones and the 19-year-old made no mistake with a wicked 18 yard strike.
