Pembrokeshire Harriers recently took 33 athletes to Swansea for the West Wales Championships and they all performed admirably.
As a club the Harriers have had a lot of success at these Championships over recent years and 2016 was no exception. What a great day for the athletes, family and friends, with lots of success, with many medals won, many personal bests achieved, a new Welsh Record and a few club records broken.
There were so many great performances that it would be unfair to pick out any individuals but one performance which has to be mentioned out of all the good ones on Sunday....James Tomlinson had a throw of 58.93m which is not only a new Welsh Record (he broke it a couple of times on the day!) but puts him as No1 in Europe for his age group.
Also, Lydia Thomas broke the U17 Women’s 300m hurdles club record with a time of 44.94s
Overall, the Club's athletes won 46 Medals.....20 GOLD; 8 SILVER; 18 BRONZE , which is another AMAZING PERFORMNCE from the Pembrokeshire Harriers!
