Gary Thomas
31 - Plant Operator
Goal Keeper
Gary is playing in his first final and he already knows a great deal about the opposition because he stood between the sticks for Clarbie last season! He is strong at crosses and a proven shot stopper who takes charge of his area and works well with his back four.

Matthew D’Ivry
28 - Property Developer
Right Back
Matthew is a very experienced player with real pace for a full back which is not only a terrific help in recovering situations but also in pushing forward in support of his front men. He is a very good reader of play and can be a calming influence when things don’t go smoothly – and scores the odd goal as a bonus! Played in three finals and eager for a winner’s medal!

|
Chris Ormond
34 - Builder
Central Defender
Another hugely experienced player who is a natural captain with his total commitment and will to win. He picked up a winner’s medal with Johnston alongside a West Wales Cup winner’s medal – and after three runners-up mementoes with the Wizards hopes this will be his chance to raise the silverware for them. He will certainly lead by example!

|
Sion Price
28 - Sales Representative
Central Defender
Sion is another recruit from Johnston and this will be his first Senior Cup Final after joining the Wizards at the start of the season. He is as natural central defender who uses his aerial ability to good effect alongside his skipper – and is also a strong tackler and useful distributor of the ball as a bonus.

|
Simon Thomas
31 - Support Worker
Left Back
A Merlins Bridge player through and through and this will be his fifth final. After many seasons playing as a goal-scoring left winger has now switched to full back with great success. He is strong in the tackle and as well as being a good defender he still loves pushing down that left flank and getting in vital crosses for his forwards to latch on to.
|
|
Peter Thomas
31 - Suppor Worker
Right Midfielder
Peter is like his twin brother Simon in the sense that he has served The Bridge so well and has already appeared in four finals. He is known for his committed midfield power and loves making big tackles and moving the ball forward – and when he plays well the Bridge look a strong side in the middle of the park.
|
|
David Davies
32 - Railway Engineer
Central Midfielder
‘Dapper’ is the midfield dynamo of the team and it seems his aim is to cover every blade of grass in the course of a match in his attempts to win quality possession. He loves heading duels and has played in three previous finals: one with the Bridge and others with Haverfordwest County and Camrose. He is also by far the best cricketer on view in the final!
|
|
Luke Hayward
26 - Bricklayer
Central Midfield
Luke joined Merlins Bridge from Johnston, where he helped The Tigers win the West Wales Cup and Senior Cup Finals as a busy midfielder who links a high skill level with a competitive approach. A very good winner and distributor of the ball he could play an influential role in the Wizards’ plans.

Joe Leahy
26 - Hotel Manager
Striker
Joe originally hails from Cardiff but played the end of last season for Tenby before joining Merlins Bridge as a proven goalscorer who had previously played at a higher level with Haverfordwest County and Cambrian & Clydach. He is strong, totally committed and has a real nose for goals – with 43 finding the net already at the time of writing!
|
|
Will Haworth
18 - Panel Brater/Sprayer
Left Midfield/Striker
Arguably the find of the season after his switch from Camrose as a very skilful player on the left side. Still a teenager but with bags of confidence in his ability to take on defenders, as he proved with a semi-final hat-trick against Hakin and 23 goals so far – plus a lot of assists with his ability to get to the bye-line and put in telling crosses. One to watch for the future!
|
|
Steve McNabney
29 - Manager
Striker
The other main goal-grabber for The Wizards over a number of seasons and the perfect foil up front with his terrific speed and good control, plus his ability to create space for others.
‘Nabs’ has scored 30 goals this campaign and will pose a threat in the final if he is allowed an inch of space to make his telling runs and ice-cool finishing.
|
|
Andrew John
26 - Support Worker
Midfield
Known to all as ‘Kanga’ and making his third appearance in a final since he has already played for Haverfordwest County and Johnston in previous seasons. A gritty full back who is strong in the tackle and loves to push forward he only knows how to give 100% and is sure to play a part for The Wizards with his tenacious play.
|
|
Jordan Raymond
23 - Electrical Engineer
Right Midfield
Jordan is another player sure to make a final appearance as a powerful right-sided midfield player who can win key possession and push forward to create space for others with his unselfish delivery of key passes. He is also able to fill other spaces in the side and so in invaluable as an utility player.
|

Midfield
Sean is a hard-tackling, ball-winning player who can be relied upon to play his best because he is renowned for his 100% effort in the club’s cause. He is held in high regard by the current Wizards’ coaches and would relish the chance of playing on the wide-open spaces at the Bridge Meadow!
|
|
Ashley Beck
24 - HM Forces
Midfield
Ashley has played a lot of good-quality football in HM Forces and is now helping the Bridge add to their strength in depth whenever his army commitments all. If he is in the final squad there is no doubt that he will give his usual commitment and high skill levels!
|
|
Nathan Thomas
33 - Builder
Manager
Nathan was a superb midfield dynamo in his many years as a Merlins Bridge player and in that time he appeared in four finals but only won one so he is eager for further success this year. He took on the role of team manager at the start of this campaign and has impressed with his no-nonsense approach, tactical awareness and ability to motivate his players.
|
|
Gareth Williams
46 - Assistant Manager
Landscape Gardner
Known to all as ‘Taffy’ and someone whose name is synonymous with The Wizards after over 20 years with the team, occupying a central midfield role as a ‘stroller’ who was always available to take and give a pass. Still one of the most respected former players in the county and has formed a terrific double act with Nathan Thomas which is sure to serve the club well.
|
|
Phil Jones
56 - Retired Police Officer
First Team Coach
Phil played as a centre half with Goodwick and Crundale before taking up coaching with Goodwick Youth.
